Whatelse: after Mare's birthday (with ideas popping around on NY and an upmarket camp), Olivier was asked, in the car, what he wanted to do next: "Naar een restaurantje. Naar Cafe Restaurant Amsterdam!". And they had a table available. It was too enjoyable, as always (though the service seems to have dropped a bit, since they opened their new place at Amstel station)

Whatelse: Olivier baked cookies with Ahmed, the cookie chef, and other kids, the food was great (according to Lynda)/fine according to me, the location was terrific, but the bill slightly out of perspective. The main course was preceded by a collection of various small bites (billed as slow-food), which was actually excellent. We all fell in love with the trifle at the end of the dinner.

Whatelse: after a very enjoyable winetasting at the Wijnkelder, I first had a bland loubstersoup and the main course was followed by a lovely set of cheeses. All of it was accompanied by approximately six different wines, of which I hope to find the details during the course of the week. It was lovely, but I did miss Lynda.
