Whatelse: Michiels' 50th birthday, outdoors in the garden, inauguration of the new BBQ, Lynda and I slept on the SS Rotterdam, which was a bit of a disappointment, but a beautiful ship nonetheless.

Whatelse: great staff, beautiful courtyard with persian carpets on the bricks. And amazing weather in the south of Sweden today. The raw bison was lovely, tasty - sad waste of underlying dough.

Travelling to Cannes in the morning and packing / prepping still required! Alexandre and Olivier did play loads of tennis - some of it w me.

Whatelse: the fifth day in France was filled with beach and horse riding, in a carriage. The horse owner, Pierre Mamere, gave us two freshly killed rabbits and they, and the company with whom we enjoyed this dinner, were grand!

Whatelse: rounded of the dinner at a different location, restaurant Flo in Amsterdam, with Donagh, Angela, Stephane, Jeroen, Eva and Catherine and enjoyed the tail-end of the team dinner, with an amazing chocolate fondant and a gorgeous Sancerre. Stayed out in Schiller until ridiculously late!

Whatelse: prior to watching the semi-final between Germany and Italy on a big screen at the Olympia stadium in Munich, we enjoyed a quick dinner outside in 30 degrees heat. The stadium is quite impressive and even though it was built in 1972 still seems very modern,
