Whatelse: Michiels' 50th birthday, outdoors in the garden, inauguration of the new BBQ, Lynda and I slept on the SS Rotterdam, which was a bit of a disappointment, but a beautiful ship nonetheless.

Whatelse: a lovely sunny, warm day. Again. Played football, mowed the lawn and cleared the sandpit from small trees.

Wine: an Italian chardonnay - full bodied

Whatelse: just finished some ice-cream and we are waiting for The Netherlands to beat Argentina.

Wine: Beaujolais Villages, la Bonne Pioche (2012) - somewhat abrasive but lovely for the fish and meat journey
Where: Bastard in Malmö
With whom: myself
Whatelse: great staff, beautiful courtyard with persian carpets on the bricks. And amazing weather in the south of Sweden today. The raw bison was lovely, tasty - sad waste of underlying dough.

Whatelse: very early in the season, but the omelet was composed w handpicked chantarells found close to the house on our own and our recently deceased neighbours' land. Delicious!
